Anderson and I joined my parents at the beach Wednesday to start our Memorial Day weekend a little early. Thursday was spent inside due to the not so good weather. That night John arrived and my parents treated us to dinner at their favorite Italian restaurant- Ciao!
We relaxed and worked at the house Friday morning before spending the afternoon at the beach. It was a bit windy so we didn’t stay too long.
Boo, Alex and Mak came Friday night. We took turns cooking each night. Friday night was our night so John and I whipped up a seafood dinner- crab legs, avocado tuna salad, corn and sweet potatoes.
The weather was gorgeous Saturday so we spent the whole day on the beach soaking up the sun and torturing playing with the babies. They both had their first experience {with their toes} in the water. Anderson was not a fan. Mak didn’t seem to mind it.
One napped and one enjoyed their first beach day. Both were adorable in their Beaufort Bonnet Bucket hats.
It was Boo and Alex’s turn to cook that night. They made Southwest salads with shrimp and chicken. So good!
Sunday John and Lori came to join the fun. We spent yet another day on the beach.
We ended our vacation with pizza at our favorite pizza joint and of course indulged in some ice cream at Kirk’s next door.
We hope everyone had a safe and Happy Memorial Day! Thank you to all those that have and do protect our freedom!
