Weekend Rewind

We had a perfect weekend celebrating our cousins first birthday, riding four wheelers and cheering on our beloved Gamecocks!

Westie’s turned 1 on Friday- where did a year go?  She is the oldest of the 3 babies and its hard to believe how fast they are growing.

What’s a birthday without a bath in the sink?

Emory and Watson spent the weekend at our house which was a treat!  They are so good with Anderson {and all the babies} and it was nice to have 2 extra sets of little hands around to help occupy little A.

Watson is all boy and he loves going to Liberty Hill to “hunt” and ride the four wheeler and tractor.  Saturday morning he and John went to pick up Deuce {John’s dad’s dog} and he came back telling me all about “scouting” for deer.

Some of our friends cooked a pig and had everyone over to watch the USC/Arkansas game.  The kiddos were kept occupied with paint and stickers.

We promised Emory and Watson we would take them up to Liberty Hill Sunday.  We rode four wheelers, played with the dogs and rode the property putting corn out for the deer!

How cute is this picture?

We ate lunch, got cleaned up and ready for Westie’s birthday party.

How is my baby old enough to sit in the bath by himself?

Happy Birthday Westie!!  We love you!

Happy Half Birthday, Little A!

6 months already?

To celebrate his half birthday, we stripped him down, set him up outside and let him devour his very own first icedream cone.  He was alittle skeptical at first but quickly dove in.

Although at one point he was more interested in digging his hands in it than eating.

We were able to convince him to hold it and feed himself, which didn’t last long.

Happy half birthday, sweet boy!  These past 6 months have been more than we could’ve ever dreamed and we look forward to seeing what the next 6 bring!

Weekend Rewind

My 10 year class reunion was this past Friday- talk about feeling OLD!  Our graduating class had only 53 students and only half were able to make it so it was fairly small.  Most of our close group of friends were there and it was a lot of fun catching up with people I hadn’t seen in years.

We “pregamed” {if you will} at Meredith’s house before we headed to party at Rockaways.

After the reunion we went to Tin Roof where one of our classmates bartends. Saturday started a little slow for most of us.

Watson’s all-star baseball party was Saturday morning at a park up the street from their house.  Amy had every detail nailed to a t and the birthday boy had a blast!

Anderson wore his best baseball attire but couldn’t handle the fun.

Football is a pretty serious event in our house.  The Cocks took on Vandy and Watson was able to stay for the game.

We have a few of John’s smocked outfits from when he was a baby.  I love that Anderson was able to wear this one to church- how sweet!

Since Watson’s actual birthday was the 15th we celebrated with dinner and cake at my parents to end the fun weekend!

New York {Part 2}

Saturday was one for the books.

Boo and I had ordered the boys boat outfits and they looked so darn cute!

IMG_5433

We started the day at “Top of the Rock”.  It was definitely a touristy thing to do, offering those views again of the city that never get old to see.

The boys decided to go to the Met’s game so the girls enjoyed a champagne brunch in Rockefeller and a day of shopping.

coincidence that these two streets meet?

We all met back up for happy hour at Frying Pan.  Its basically an old ship on The Hudson that was turned into a bar and is way too much fun.

Sunday was Father’s Day so we had some extra snuggles with daddy, packed up and hit the ground running for our last few hours.

We attended mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

We shopped and then ate a late lunch at Rockefeller again.  The mojitos were delicious.

What's a trip to NY without seeing the Naked Cowboy?  ok, I could’ve gone without it.

We said our goodbyes and we were off to head back home.

It was most certainly a trip to remember.  The next trip is already in the works!
