With the fall weather moving in this week, we decided it was time to carve our pumpkin. Anderson ate his pumpkin supervised while john did the carving. He is into EVERYTHING these days and this was no exception, often times reaching his hand into the “insides”.

Anderson’s first Halloween- another “first” under our belts!
Hello 3rd Trimester- I am sooo happy to see you! We have been busy lately wrapping up the holiday season and trying to get a jump start on preparations for Anderson’s arrival!
Last month I was able to talk John into painting the nursery. It ended up being somewhat of a painting horror story but I’m happy to say it is complete. The painting that is.
You’ve probably heard me refer to the guest bedroom as the nursery long before we were ever expecting. The previous owners had painted chocolate brown as a nursery for their kids before we bought it.
We had our work cut out for us as I decided on a much lighter blue/green/grey color. 
Here is some inspiration and things we plan to purpose or have already! I’m hoping to knock it out sooner than later so I can enjoy his room before he gets here!
How far along? 28 weeks
Size of Baby T? Chinese Cabbage, weighing around 2 1/4 pounds and measuring at 14.8 inches long
Maternity Clothes? Pretty much all maternity these days
Weight Gain? 19 lbs.
Stretch Marks? No signs of any yet
Gender? BOY!
Sleep? I’ve retired the boppy pillow for now. I can’t seem to get comfortable unless I’m half way on my stomach.
Movement? I can’t get enough of his little kicks and jabs but lately he has used my ribs as his punching bag.
Cravings? I’ve full circled to my cravings of sandwiches and subs and sweets!
What I miss? being able to enjoy a drink when I want one, especially a glass of champagne around the holidays!
Symptoms? tiredness, bad taste in my mouth, headaches, back pain
Best moment of the week? Celebrating the Holidays with our families and seeing all the goodies that Anderson was spoiled with!
I can’t believe it is already December. Where has this year gone?!?
Our weekends are starting to slow down and I couldn’t be more excited to start celebrating the Holidays and be able to enjoy them!
Friday night, we had the 3 oldest Dupree kiddos over for a slumber party. We’ve kept Watson a few times but never all three so I knew it would be interesting but fun!
Uncle John picked up pizza for dinner and for dessert we had bumble gum and snickers ice cream bars.
John and I spent all day Saturday painting Anderson’s nursery and I LOVE it! {more to come in another post}
Anderson goes “bananas” over bananas lately so we keep a stash on hand. I guess too many because I couldn’t eat them fast enough before they started going bad. 
How far along? 24 weeks
Size of Baby T? an ear of corn, weighing at a little over a pound and almost a foot long
Maternity Clothes? I recently purchased my first pair of maternity work pants- they are amazing! I packed up the majority of my “normal” clothes last weekend to make room for bigger sizes.
Weight Gain? 15 lbs. I was feeling kind of guilty until the doctor pointed out that I was doing well considering I had come off of Thanksgiving week. I am trying to watch what I consume a little closer though.
Stretch Marks? Still clear thank goodness!
Gender? BOY! BOY! BOY!
Sleep? I’ve thrown the towel in and accepted that sleep will never be the same until… well, maybe never. It gets more uncomfortable by the night.
Movement? Non stop and has picked up more during the day. I notice it more if I’m lying flat on my back too.
Cravings? Bananas {Anderson goes CRAZY when I eat them} and “comfort food”. I’ve never been one to eat tons of casseroles and warm dishes but I can’t get enough of them these days.
What I miss? Red wine. I can’t lie, I crave it.
Symptoms? I continue to have the bad taste in my mouth as I did in the 1st trimester, moodiness, headaches, growing belly
Best moment of the week? Welcoming our sweet nephew, Mak, on Tuesday morning- the second of the three new cousins! It’s hard to believe that in just a little over 3 months we will be meeting our little one and I know that Anna West, Mak and Anderson will be the best of friends!
We were lucky to have bought a house that needed very little to no updates or repairs as our house had been fully renovated in the past 7 years. Although, every wall in the house is painted a neutral tan color with exception to the guest bedroom/ nursery {the previous owners used it as a nursery and I can’t stray away from calling it that- no worries there is no baby Thompson on the way!} which is painted a chocolate brown color. Last year, I got the itch and wanted to updated/ change something in the house, so we started with the sun room.
Our den and kitchen is one big open area that sits in the middle of the house. I had been putting off decorating mainly because it was just not a top priority at the time with the wedding and I wasn’t living there so I didn’t have to see it each and every day.
John finally agreed to help paint the den area which I took advantage of since he loathes painting.
The only update possible to do for the kitchen was new counters tops and new appliances. We decided on a wedding gift for each other that we would both enjoy but one that was also practical- granite counter tops. We had agreed and set a goal to have them installed by the end of the summer. Or so I thought. John “I can’t keep a secret” Thompson broke down and told me on Tuesday that the counter tops would be here Friday. 
I know I am not the last person to hear of and join pinterest but I do think I am way behind on finding the obsession. My sister told me about it a few months ago and I have to be honest, I joined but never really got into it. Recently I have been hooked and started “pinning” away. John usually sighs “oh gosh, you’re pinning again”.
Well, we have done nothing to our house since we bought it 4 months ago. I have been searching for ideas on how to decorate our sun room. I recently found an idea on pinterest for a color that I thought may work, so I sent John to the paint store {never having seen the color} and told him to buy it. John complained the entire time but we got the room painted and I love it. 
We have also gone 4 months without blinds on our kitchen window. If you’ve never seen our house, our kitchen and den are really just one big open area. A little creepy/scary at night to hang out in with no blinds, so Mr. handyman himself fixed that too! 
As veggies lovers, we were pleasantly surprised to find that our yard came fully equipped with a garden and irrigation system. A few Saturdays ago we headed out in search of veggies to plant. We came home with tomato, squash, cucumber and 3 different type of pepper plants.

The house is definitely a work in progress but we have had so much fun making it into our home! I hope to have more projects to share soon!
After 2 stressful long months, we are officially Homeowners! Our intent was to start house hunting in January with hopes of closing and moving in right before the wedding. That quickly changed once we found the house and knew we couldn’t wait. It is the perfect starter home for us and we could not be more excited!
