Rub a dub dub…

Anderson LOVES the tub.

Confession:  sometimes when he is really cranky and nothing else will work, I throw him in the tub.  It seems to be a cure for everything in his little world.  He does hate to be cold so post bath has yet to be mastered.

John also {finally} learned the art of bathing his child and as you can see A couldn’t get enough.  He was cheesin’ the entire time.

Family Traditions

When I was pregnant with Anderson, John and I visited his dads house and found a family crib that had been used for {what we were told} 6 generations.  We immediately asked if we could bring it home with us to use for our babies- making it 7.  For months I searched high and low for a mattress that would make the crib meet “code”.  Unfortunately I ran out of time and resources and we ended up having to use a family bassinet from my side.

I was able to take some pictures of Anderson in it though to prove he did get his time in it!  IMG_0963

Beach Babe

After a weekend of nasty weather, it cleared on Monday and we were able to get down to the beach for Anderson’s first time!  I was a little nervous since I had no idea was to expect but he did great and LOVED it.  He has always been one that sleeps better with loud noise so the sounds of the ocean and wind soothed him right to sleep.  photoIMG_1087IMG_1089IMG_1094IMG_1099We invested in this tent from Walmart {only $25} and I am tempted to go get a couple more to keep on hand.  It makes for the perfect set up for a baby on the beach!  IMG_1101Granddaddy came down Monday afternoon to stay with us for a few nights.  Naps on the beach were a must.  IMG_1109IMG_1112 Tuesday’s forecast was yucky but ended up turning out ok.  We still stayed inside b/c the temperatures were low 70s.  By Wednesday we were ready to hit the beach once again.  This time with SPF 55 as the temperatures had risen a little.  We didn’t leave the house without our BBC sun hat- how adorable!  IMG_1132IMG_1134And of course our babiatorsIMG_1136IMG_1144IMG_1146IMG_1148whaleIMG_1155IMG_1159Our vacation came to an end on Thursday but not before one last beach day.  IMG_1160IMG_1164I can’t get enough of his t-tiny bathing suits!IMG_1169513_Beach Vacation1I know I’m biased, but this is the cutest little beach babe I’ve ever seen!IMG_1178IMG_1185We are already counting down the days until we get back to the beach in just a few weeks!  Next time we hope to introduce him to the water!
