We baptized Anderson this past Saturday in the Catholic Church with our parents and siblings to witness. It filled my heart with so much happiness to have those present that will help us stand as Christian examples.
He wore a gown that my mom bought when Watson {the first born grandchild} was baptized and has been passed down to all grandsons since.
We are so thankful for his godparents, Uncle James and Aunt Joanna, and we know one day soon he too will realize how blessed he is to have them.
Ms. Lori had the bowl made for Anderson that Monsignor used to pour the Holy Water during the Baptism.
I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.
Psalm 139: 14
In the Catholic Church there is no dunking or submerging in water as most churches. Instead the Priest pours the Holy Water on the head of the individual as he baptizes them. The water that was used was collected from The Jordan River while he was on a trip. It is the same water that Jesus Christ himself was baptized with.
We had our photoshoot with our families before we headed to my parents house for the post Baptism celebration!
